Meet the Trio
The Gardellino Flute Trio brings together Marie Comiskey, Ann Macken and Mairéad English, three highly regarded professional flautists with a vast experience of many musical genres.
Based in Dublin, they each have worked with orchestras and ensembles including National Symphony Orchestra Ireland, RTÉ Concert Orchestra, Wexford Festival Opera Orchestra and Irish National Opera Orchestra.
In addition to their extensive performing careers they are dedicated music educators with an abundance of teaching experience working with individuals and groups of all ages.
They formed the Gardellino Flute Trio to explore the varied repertoire and vast range of textures and moods that can be created by this versatile instrumental grouping. Lifted from the orchestra, the flute trio harnesses the beautiful colours of flutes, piccolos and alto flutes to create a beautifully dynamic soundscape.
The Gardellino flute Trio offers programmes suited to a wide variety of occasions including concerts, corporate events, weddings and educational workshops.
